Justice Delivered with Precision
A premier dispute resolution institution committed to delivering accessible, efficient, and ethical justice.
The Madurai Arbitration and Conciliation Council (MACC) is a premier dispute resolution institution committed to delivering accessible, efficient, and ethical justice. We provide a neutral, professional, and world-class platform for resolving commercial, civil, and domestic disputes outside the traditional court system.
Founded by a group of distinguished judicial officers and legal experts, MACC stands as a beacon of integrity in the field of Alternative Dispute Resolution (ADR). Our processes are designed to save time, reduce costs, and maintain the confidentiality that our clients value most.
Founded with a vision to provide a faster, more reliable Alternative Dispute Resolution (ADR) mechanism in Southern Tamil Nadu, MACC began its journey under the guidance of esteemed legal minds.
MACC became the primary hub for institutional arbitration in the Madurai region, partnering with local bar associations and corporate entities to streamline legal processes.
With the launch of our ODR portal and state-of-the-art physical facilities, MACC now leads the way in modern, accessible, and ethical dispute resolution for the digital age.
Choosing MACC means choosing a partner dedicated to your peace of mind. Our institution is built on four core pillars that ensure every dispute is handled with the precision it deserves.
Backed by decades of judicial expertise and a formal institutional framework.
Time-bound procedures that prevent the years-long delays common in traditional courts.
Predictable fee structures based on case value, with no hidden administrative costs.
Offering both world-class physical hearing rooms and advanced online resolution tools.
At MACC, we embrace the evolving identity of the Indian legal landscape, embodied by the new Lady Justice of India. This modern interpretation marks a significant departure from colonial-era symbols, reflecting a more transparent and constitutionally-grounded approach to resolution.
The Supreme Court of India unveiled a new Lady Justice (Nyay Devi) statue in October 2024, altering traditional colonial-era iconography by removing the blindfold and replacing the sword with a copy of the Constitution. The new depiction was commissioned under the directive of former Chief Justice D.Y. Chandrachud.
Justice is no longer blind; it is alert, aware, and empathetic to the social and cultural realities of our diverse nation.
Replacing the sword, the Constitution of India now serves as the supreme guide, ensuring that every resolution is rooted in fundamental rights and the rule of law.
The enduring symbol of balance remains, representing our unwavering commitment to fairness and neutrality in every ADR proceeding.
Our impact extends beyond local boundaries. We handle complex international commercial arbitrations and provide advisory services for global legal development.
